First ever Youth Band Night at Forest Arts, Article taken from INQ (The informatoion Hub for Young People in The New Forest:
'Budding musicians are invited to take part in the next gig for young bands and singers at the Forest Arts Centre in New Milton.
The first gig was a great success when it was held at the New Milton venue earlier in July.
The headlining indie-rock group Framework was supported by We Have No Friends, who were making their stage debut. The New Milton musicians opened the gig with four of their songs.
Also pulling in the local crowds was Mikey Ball, a 19-year-old soloist from New Milton who was accompanied by two pals, The Perfect Strangers, and played a half hour set.
Forest-based Framework, Freddy Mercer, Jim Kay and Chris Wood, were thrilled to be the headline act and won great applause from the audience.
The gig was organised by The Edge Project, an initiative by Hampshire Museums and Galleries Trust to engage 14 to 24 year olds with the arts'
"Its a great project your running!"
